Site Assessment

"Can I take care of my shrubs without pesticides?" "Is my landscaper doing it right?" "What plants can I put in that are drought tolerant?" "What options to I have for replacing my lawn?" We can provide answers for questions about your landscape by combining an on-site consultation, followed up by a written assessment of each issue and recommendations that can be used personally or by your landscape service provider.

On-Site Visit

  • Technical Evaluation - An evaluation of any issues on trees, shrubs, and turfgrass in the landscape.  These can include weeds, diseases, and other pests.  We also evaluate the site for soil condition and compaction that can be associated with plant decline. Plant nutrition programs and needs can be assessed for optimum results for minimum input.
  • Environmental Evaluation - Services include an evaluation of water usage on the property, as well as an overview of irrigation systems that are being used.  Landscape design can be assessed, and recommendations made depending on the needs and desires for the site.
  • Quality Control - If a landscape contractor or service has been used on the site, an assessment of their recommendations and practices can be evaluated.
  • Quarter-day, Half-day, and Full-day visits available

Written Assessment

  • A written evaluation is included with each on-site visit.  It is a recap of what topics and concerns were discussed, issues that were observed at the site, and recommendation for their future remediation if needed.  They can be used for site history establishment, current service evaluation, and new contract preparation.  These written assessments are sent within three business days after the site visit.

Additional Services

  • Soil Testing - This test is vital for evaluating plant health, available nutrients in the soil, and uses for the site. Soil samples from the site will be collected, sent in for analysis, and then recommendations will be made from the results.

  • Pest and Pathology Testing - Certain plant diseases and insects may require additional verification to determine the correct course of action.  Samples will be submitted and then recommendations will be made based on the results.
